Our little island offers so much, and local wine is not short off the list. Let’s take our time to savour each sip and soak in the laid-back atmosphere that defines this enchanting island, whether it’s at a vineyard tour and tasting or enjoying a private introduction to local , Spanish & global wines, in the privacy of your villa. Ojo de Ibiza winery

One of our favourite spots to visit is the idyllic Ojo de Ibiza winery, where time seems to stand still amidst rows of verdant vines that sway gently in the breeze. This micro family-owned gem not only produces exceptional high quality luxury wines but also offers a true taste of Ibiza’s hospitality. Picture yourself getting lost through the vineyards, guided by their knowledgeable staff who will share the secrets of winemaking passed down through generations. As you sample their signature blends, from crisp whites to robust reds, you’ll feel a deep connection to the land and the people who call it home. This by far is one of the most exceptional tasting experiences we have had the pleasure to enjoy, and we urge you not to miss it on your next island visit. Located in San Mateo they offer a unique wine tasting experience and cellar tour. We look forward to hearing what’s your favourite, after you get to try all Ojo de Ibiza wines, enjoy local dishes and learn about the trade. They are open every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10-14h, and require a Minimum of 2 to max 25 people, to share the experience with. Just a short drive away if you’re staying in a beautiful villa such as Ibiza luxury rental, Villa Mati, in San Rafael and take home a bottle, or two of their Terrazas del Norte red, our favourite out of their four signature blends, and you won’t regret it!

Ibizikus

Next, we recommend you to venture to the quaint surroundings of Ibizikus, a boutique winery off the main road to Santa Eulalia. This spot captures the essence of the island in every bottle, and is well stocked at local restaurants across Ibiza. Maybe you have already had a chance to try it? Here, amidst the olive groves and almond trees, winemakers craft wines & blends that reflect Ibiza’s rich history and vibrant culture. From fruity rosés perfect for lazy afternoons & summer refreshers, to more complex reds begging to be paired with local delicacies, each wine tells a story of tradition and innovation.

Can Maymó Winery

Now we can’t forget Can Maymó Winery, where old-world charm meets contemporary elegance. This spot, set against a backdrop of Ibizan hills and azure skies, a picturesque estate, is a testament to the allure of Ibiza’s countryside. Here, you will be invited to indulge in guided tastings that showcase the winery’s commitment to quality and sustainability. With each sip, you’ll taste the love and dedication poured into every bottle, making for a truly memorable experience. Our favourite is the Tinto Tradición, a traditional red, great for all occasions & for a refreshing white to mix with our paella lunch we lean towards their Grec.

But our recommendations of wine exploration wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Can Rich Winery, a pioneer in organic winemaking on the island. Surrounded by lush vineyards and fragrant citrus groves, this eco-conscious estate is a haven for wine lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Take a stroll through the grounds, pausing to admire the panoramic views and sample the winery’s award-winning wines. From zesty whites to full-bodied reds, each glass is a celebration of Ibiza’s natural beauty and bounty. We really love the Ereso White Wine, but they also have an array of other great non-wine products, made locally to indulge in, like the olive oils and salts, and of course a cheeky traditional Hierbas chupito!

Sa Cova Winery

Lastly, we must add to the list, Sa Cova Winery. It awaits you with its charming traditional Finca style farmhouse and inviting cellar doors. Here, you will be invited to step back in time and experience the timeless art of winemaking up close and personal. Are you ready to get involved? Their guided tours offer insight into the winery’s rich history and traditional techniques, while tastings provide the perfect opportunity to sample the fruits of their labour. We wonder what your top favourite will be!? Ours is the Sa Cova 9, a young every day red. With a glass of their finest in hand, you’ll feel as though you’ve discovered a hidden gem tucked away amidst Ibiza’s scenic countryside.
