The time has come! The exciting & much anticipated time of year here in Ibiza, where post Easter, the island slowly comes to life again. One by one we see many great restaurants, beach clubs and venues re-opening their doors, for what we all hope will be another great summer season. We ourselves know the island has so many diverse offerings, but we also know it is world renowned for the active nightlife and unique mega clubs. Each year, millions of people flock to Ibiza to enjoy the many events & parties it is home to during the summer months! Will you be joining the fun this year? With the 2024 season well on its way, we embark on the exciting buzz that is opening weeks, and opening parties. So we invite you to discover what this 2024 season holds, and want to run through some of our favorite clubs and venues and break down their event calendars for you! April and May, here in Ibiza, are known for their infamous Openings….. and we are well underway! Although some venues do seem to be starting earlier and earlier each year, we can always base the start to be with the popular “one off ” special Event located at the top of Dalt Vila, in Ibiza old town! Hosted by the IMS (International Music Summit), this seven-hour closing celebration will be the 15th edition of the IMS Ibiza. With its return to the historic 2,500-year-old former fort and UNESCO World Heritage Site. IMS Dalt Vila is an unmissable event that unites lovers of electronic music for one night of incredible DJ performances. This year it will be on Friday, April, 26, 2024. The line-up consists of a mixture of olds favorites and fresh faces, featuring Artche, DJ Paulette, Franky Wah, Jaguar, Kalismã, Kilimanjaro, Miss Monique, Mochakk, Pete Tong, Sasha and more, plus a live PA from Róisín Murphy.

Pacha

Pacha is one of the island’s oldest and most iconic clubs, established back in 1973. It features multiple rooms with varying music styles, from house and techno to mainstream hits. With its distinctive and world known cherry logo and luxurious decor, Pacha attracts partygoers from around the globe, offering unforgettable nights of music and entertainment in the heart of Ibiza’s nightlife scene. Located just outside of Ibiza town, here is what you can expect for the 2024 season line up:

April 26th, 2024- Pacha Grand Opening
May 9th, 2024- Robin Schulz
May 17th, 2024- Music On
May 18th, 2024- Flower Power
May 21st, 2024- Camelphat
May 22nd, 2024- Bedouin
And still to be announced is the popular night of Solomun +1

Destino Pacha

Then we have the stunning luxury hotel Destino Pacha Resort, with its own club! It is part of the Pacha Group portfolio. The amazing property is located on the cliffs of Cap Martinet above the resort of Talamanca, with breathtaking views over Ibiza Town and towards Formentera. The venue hosts an array of open air parties poolside, that normally start late afternoon and run until midnight. In recent years, these gigs have included appearances from the likes of Marco Carola, Solomun and Luciano. This year, they are kicking off their opening party with none other than tech house titan, Marco Carola! Join the ‘Play it loud!’ maestro on Sunday, April 28th, 2024!

Akasha Club

Akasha Club, one of the newbies on the party block, is one of our local favorites. Although it has already hosted its official 2024 season opening party, there is a lot to expect this season. Located in the North Eastern part of Ibiza in San Carlos, at the famous Las Dalias, it has been renovated to perfection and hosts one of the best sound systems on the island. Although it is a much smaller and intimate venue, it does host an array of amazing events! What we love is the parties start outside in the garden terrace, making their way inside before midnight. It is open during winter months, which us locals do appreciate, However it is also home to some great events during the summer months. This year, to name a few events, you can find the season will kick off with the following:

Pikes Ibiza

Pikes Ibiza, a boutique hotel and venue which has history that goes way back. Set up by Tony Pike in the 1970s, it is well known to have some of the world’s most famous names frequent as guests in its hotel, situated a short drive from San Antonio to the west of Ibiza. Most famously, it is known that Freddie Mercury was a recurring guest, who even now has his own room named after him! To say you’ve danced in Freddy Mercury’s old hotel room is one of those things you could only really say in Ibiza. From a club perspective, it’s not huge, nor is it open every night! Don’t expect a huge dance floor as if you’re in a super club, but you should prepare for a more intimate feeling, like you’re at a very cool house party in the middle of the Ibizan countryside. To be honest, that pretty much sums it up. It’s like nowhere else, and it is fantastic! Although Pikes just had its official grand opening party the weekend of April 12–14th, 2024, there are a few more resistant night openings to expect:

DC10

DC10 is legendary! This nightclub is known for its underground electronic music scene. It is situated near the airport, with planes flying over as you dance deep into the night. It hosts the famous Circoloco party every Monday, featuring top international DJs, and what is most known for. The venue is raw, has a more industrial vibe and commitment to cutting-edge music, without all the fluff, which has made it an iconic destination for techno and house music enthusiasts. CIRCOLOCO Opening party will be on April 29th, 2024 In summer 2022, the former venue of Heart Ibiza, reopened as Club Chinois, which offers world-class entertainment in the heart of Ibiza Marina in Ibiza Town. Ibiza’s lush new space has made its mark right from the start, with unexpected residencies and even more unpredictable surprise guests. In terms of size, Club Chinois doesn’t have the vast, multiroom space that other super-clubs have, but it still packs a punch with its programming and pristine sound system. This year they are kicking off their season with a grand opening on April 28th, 2024!

Cova Santa

Cova Santa restaurant & club is set in the beautiful Ibiza countryside near the village of San José and is built around an ancient cave. It was discovered in the 15th century and opened to the public back in 1957. It soon became one of the main tourist attractions of Ibiza in the early nineties. Furthermore, it has since then grown into a vast and beautiful event location with a world-class restaurant. Cova Santa belongs to Amnesia – so as you can imagine, hosts some equally incredible parties, in a totally different atmosphere and vibe. It is known for its early evening open air events, with incredible decorations, production, DJs and hosts one of the friendliest vibes on the island. Starting its events in the late afternoon, going through the stunning sunsets that then finish outside at midnight, allow you to hop to the next club or retreat inside into the indoor club to carry on dancing until much later. The outside open air area is shaped like an amphitheater, with restaurant tables stretching up the hill, looking down on the dance floor – creating a really intimate vibe. The first of the “mega clubs” to open this season are Hi Ibiza and Ushuaia. We like to think of these as sister venues. Ushuaia is open from late afternoon until midnight, perfect for you to then jump on over to HI to dance the night away until the early hours of the morning.with HI Ibiza, formerly known to be the home of well-loved Space Ibiza, took over the iconic venue back in summer 2017. It’s well known for its state-of-the-art sound systems, immersive and impressive productions, and of course world-class DJ lineups, which vary depending on the night. This mega club features multiple rooms, each with different atmospheres, including indoor and outdoor spaces. We love the bathroom, as crazy as it sounds, you will find some amazing DJs in there and a vibe totally of its own. Each season, it hosts a variety of electronic music events, ranging from house and techno to EDM and trance. With its legendary reputation and cutting-edge design, HI Ibiza continues to be a hotspot for partygoers seeking the unforgettable nightlife experience that the island of Ibiza is known for. The Ushuaïa Club

The Ushuaïa Club, situated within the hotel’s complex, down by the pool, hosts some of the biggest names in the electronic music scene, with daily parties during the summer season. They start in the early afternoon, making it perfect to jump over to HI after midnight, when events at Ushuaia tend to end. The stage is set against a backdrop of lush palm trees and its giant pool, creating a unique and immersive party atmosphere. The club attracts partygoers from around the world with its top-notch sound systems, spectacular light shows, and high-energy performances. Amnesia

Amnesia Ibiza is another legendary mega club on the island of Ibiza, famous for its electrifying atmosphere and cutting-edge electronic music events. Located between Ibiza town and San Rafael, since its inception in the 1970s, Amnesia has been one of the cornerstones of the island’s nightlife scene. It is well known for hosting renowned DJs and artists from all around the world. The club has multiple dance floors, each with its own unique vibe, and is equipped with impressive state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. With its iconic pyramid-shaped roof and unforgettable parties, Amnesia offers an unparalleled clubbing experience that draws crowds of music lovers and party enthusiasts year after year after year! As you can see, this is just some of our favorite venues, and what to expect in this 2024 summer season. There are plenty of other venues and events we did not even begin to touch on, and we will let you discover your favorites this year.
